Frequently asked.

The stuff people email us about, answered up front.

Is CineIt actually free?
Yes. The core tracking, rating, watchlist, and social features are free forever. We're working on a paid tier for power features (advanced stats, calendar widgets, family sharing) but it's strictly optional.
Where does my data live?
Your library is yours — synced via our servers but exportable anytime as JSON or CSV. You can delete your account at any point and we remove everything within 30 days.
Do you sell my watch history?
No. We don't sell or share watch data with anyone, ever. We don't run third-party trackers in the app or on this site.
Why iOS first?
Two of three founders are on iOS, the polish bar is steep, and we wanted to nail one platform before splitting. Android beta is open now — Apple TV is next on the roadmap.
How does the data come from?
Show metadata, posters, and episode info come from TMDB (The Movie Database). Your watch history, ratings, and lists live in CineIt and don't go back upstream.
